DETAILS
The body’s allergic response is typically triggered by environmental factors. Specific chemicals in the environment cause the immune system to respond by secreting chemicals such as inflammatory mediators which cause the characteristic symptoms associated with allergies.*
Quercetin Plus is a synergistic combination of nutrients and phytochemicals that help support a normal healthy response to environmental factors. This formula helps in supporting the body’s natural anti-inflammatory response to allergic mediators as well as providing potent antioxidant activity.*
Quercetin helps to stabilize the mast cell release of histamine. Histamine is a potent chemical secreted in response to allergens and inflammatory mediators, causing the characteristic symptoms associated with allergies and inflammation. *
Vitamin C has been shown to neutralize some of the effects of histamine, and those individuals with allergies tend to have low levels of vitamin C, and therefore, an increased requirement. *
Bromelain is a naturally occurring enzyme in pineapple. It is effective for supporting a healthy anti-inflammatory response by helping to regulate the production of prostaglandins involved in the inflammatory process. *
Turmeric contains active compounds known as curcuminoids which have potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. *
Citrus bioflavonoids help support the absorption and utilization of vitamin C, provide antioxidant support and support the structure of blood vessels and other soft tissue. *

KEY INGREDIENTS
-
QUERCETIN
- Quercetin is a plant pigment with potent antioxidant properties. A potent bioflavonoid known to support the body in the presence of allergens and other immune and inflammatory triggers.*
-
VITAMIN C
- A potent antioxidant that is needed for the growth and repair of tissues in all parts of your body. Vitamin C is needed by the body to form an important protein used to make skin, tendons, ligaments, and blood vessels, as well as heal wounds and form scar tissue.*
-
BROMELAIN
- Bromelain is a protein-digesting enzyme derived from the stem, fruit, and juice of the pineapple plant. It has a centuries-long history of being used to treat medical ailments, including supporting a healthy anti-inflammatory response.*
-
CURCUMIN EXTRACT
- Curcumin has been used as a food ingredient in Asia for thousands of years. It is a potent antioxidant that offers numerous health benefits, including the management of oxidative and inflammatory conditions, metabolic syndrome, arthritis, anxiety, and hyperlipidemia.*
-
CITRUS BIOFLAVONIODS
- Citrus bioflavonoids are compounds found in citrus fruits like tangerines, oranges, and grapefruit. The antioxidant properties of flavonoids have been recognized for more than 40 years. Increasing intake of bioflavonoids helps prevent free radicals from causing harm in the body.*

SUPPORTS INFLAMMATION REDUCTION
Quercetin helps to stabilize the mast cell release of histamine. Histamine is secreted by the body in response to allergens and inflammatory triggers. While some inflammation is necessary to help your body heal and fight infections, persistent inflammation is linked to health issues, including certain cancers, as well as heart and kidney diseases. Studies show that quercetin may help reduce inflammation. An 8-week study in 50 women with rheumatoid arthritis observed that participants who took 500 mg of quercetin experienced significantly reduced early morning stiffness, morning pain, and after-activity pain.*
-
SUPPORTS HEALTHY BLOOD PRESSURE
Research suggests that quercetin may help reduce blood pressure levels. A review of 9 human studies in 580 people found that taking more than 500 mg of quercetin in supplement form daily reduced systolic and diastolic blood pressure by an average of 5.8 mm Hg and 2.6 mm Hg, respectively.*
-
SUPPORTS ATHLETIC ENDURANCE
In a review of research conducted in 2011, 11 studies showed a boost in exercise endurance (measured by oxygen consumption) when people took quercetin. Another study conducted in 2013 analyzed 60 male students who had participated in athletics for at least three years. They saw improved lean body mass, hydration levels, calories burned at rest (basal metabolic rate), and total energy expenditure after taking quercetin.*
-
SUPPORTS LOWER HISTAMINE LEVELS
Vitamin C has been shown to neutralize some of the effects of histamine, and those individuals with allergies tend to have low levels of vitamin C, so adding this vitamin is beneficial.*
-
MINIMIZES MUSCLE BREAKDOWN
Vitamin C plays an important role in slowing down processes that cause cell damage in the body. One example is inflammation caused by training. Ideally cortisol levels will fall to normal range soon after a workout, but for some of us, it can stay sky-high long after the workout has ended. Chronically elevated cortisol is related to catabolism, the processes by which tissues in the body are broken down. Vitamin C can help lower cortisol after a workout, offsetting its negative effects. For this reason, vitamin C can be beneficial in assisting with sports recovery and also supporting return from injury.*
-
SUPPORTS LOWER HISTAMINE LEVELS
Bromelain also may help stimulate a healthy immune system to release inflammation-fighting immune system compounds. Studies also suggests that bromelain can reduce transforming growth factor beta, which is a compound associated with inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis and osteomyelofibrosis.*
-
ENHANCES DIGESTION
Bromelain is a naturally occurring enzyme in pineapple. It is effective for supporting a healthy anti-inflammatory response by helping to regulate the production of prostaglandins involved in the inflammatory process.*
Bromelain is taken by some to relieve stomach upset and the symptoms of digestive disorders. Due to its inflammation-reducing properties, some people use it as an additional way to help treat inflammatory bowel disorders.*
Animal studies have suggested that bromelain can reduce the effects of some bacteria that affect the intestine, such as Escherichia coli and Vibrio cholera. These are both common causes of diarrhea.*
-
ANTI-INFLAMMATORY
Curcumin is a potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant that can neutralize free radicals in the body. It also supports joint health, supports liver function and stimulates the immune system.*
Research suggests that curcumin can also help in the management of exercise-induced inflammation and muscle soreness, thus enhancing recovery and subsequent performance in active people.
-
ANTI-INFLAMMATORY
Citrus bioflavonoids have known anti-inflammatory properties and help combat free radicals. Studies have specifically linked the citrus bioflavonoid hesperidin to lower levels of oxidative stress (i.e., a healthy balance between antioxidants and free radicals).*
While some free radicals in the body are a part of normal physiological processes (e.g., immune response and cellular reactions throughout the body), balancing the antioxidant-to-free-radical ratio to tackle oxidative stress is important for optimal heart, immune, and metabolic health—and citrus bioflavonoids help promote this activity.*
-
IMMUNE SYSTEM SUPPORT
Citrus bioflavonoids help support the absorption and utilization of vitamin C. Antioxidants help protect our cells and improve their function, which promotes anti-inflammatory actions in the body and supports immune health.*
Additionally, citrus bioflavonoids can bolster gastrointestinal functioning and health. And, as we know, a healthy gut is crucial to a well-functioning immune system. This relationship can, in turn, affect the whole body.*
